Building sustainable supply chains

Focus on economic, environmental and social impacts is important to develop sustainable supply chains. As a bridge between suppliers and customers around the world we have a unique position that enables us to recognize and understand sustainability challenges and opportunities. By identifying and bridging these needs we are able to develop sustainable initiatives through an integrated multi-stakeholder approach. This approach is crucial as we recognize that full commitment of all actors in the supply chain is required to really create shared value and sustainable solutions. Together with our partners we are, among others, involved in developing sustainable supply chains for GlobalGap chillies and IPM cumin in India.

Catz International is member of the Sedex platform. As the largest collaborative platform for sharing ethical supply chain data, Sedex is an innovative and effective supply chain management solution, helping to reduce risks and improve supply chain practices. As an active participant we are able to view and run reports on our suppliers’ ethical data and develop bridges by transparently sharing information with our customers.

Catz International makes use of the Ecovadis: Sustainable Supply Management tool in order to enhance corporate social responsibility (CSR) performances in the field of, among others, sustainable sourcing. In its first year of participation Catz International was already rewarded with a CSR silver rating. This reward challenges and motivates us to further improve our performances gradually.
